Guys,

I found an informative website to help ya identify what axle you got underneath your jeep!

The site features pictures of the differential and their designation/name next to them.

If you contact your local Jeep dealership' service dept. and give them the VIN they can tell you what axles, gears, transmission, etc... It's like a mini carfax. Of course if some else ( a previous owner) has swapped something out then they won't know that. It's still a good way to get the info. It's cheap, easy, and can be done from your couch. jive
