P1389 (M) No ASD relay Output voltage At PCM. An open condition detected in the ASD relay output circuit.

Check your ASD relay in the PDC under the hood by the battery. Exchange a similar relay with the ASD relay and see if it starts.

I also have read that it could be CPS somewhere in the past. But let's deal with what DTC is pointing to.

Hi, I have just replaced the ASD relay and starter relay. Still wont start. I checked with the codes and the P1389 still shows up. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi again. it seems like the code P1389 has been cleared from the odometer. No faults showing, but still wont start.

Please combine your posts for the same problem you are addressing. It is hard for readers/potential helpers to follow through multiple posts. Plus it makes the search function slow. Thanks for your cooperation.

If you have NOT cleared the code yourself but it cleared itself, that means the replacement ASD relay was causing the code. No money wasted there IMO. One problem down.. Time for next.

"Crank and no start" is classic symptom of bad CPS as suggested by Marlin in the other post.
