Anyone has done this on TJs?

Mine is losing coolant and I smell it when I turn on the heater. I am reading the FSM and it does not look like a quick repair.

Any tips??

Thanks,

Michael

Michael,

From what I have been able to pull up, it does not look like an easy job. If your rig is equipped with A/C, I have read that you will need to pull the refrigerant out of the system as well as draining the cooling system. You will also have to remove the entire Heating-AC unit as one piece to get to the heater core. I got my information off of alldatapro.com and from the service manual you can pick up at the local autoparts store. If you would like to have a copy of what alldata says, let me know and I will PM a copy to you. Looks like your in for a job.

HTH,

Jeff
